Remote led works but doesn't send signal to receiver

 

This fireplace remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing the remote itself was responding to the button presses but no signal was bein transmitted.

This was found to be due to a faulty US transducer in the handset.  A replacement was fitted and full functionality was restored.
