Remote control is not working

 

This fire controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed not to be responding from any button press.

When the control was cracked open there was a mass of battery leakage corrosion around the PCB.  Initially it was thought that a repair was not possible but after a bit of print reworking the functionality was restored.
