battery getting hot, and remote not working

 

This Hofmann remote arrived safely and on testing there was two issues found, the first was that the led was broken and also the battery terminals were bend slightly causing a short across the terminals intermittently.

The LED was replaced and the terminals bent back into shape and also a heatshrink tubing was fitted over the existing insulator.

Please note that it is important not to use any battery that has overheated, always replace with new!
