Meditek Stairlifts Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Remote is for UP (red button) and DOWN (green button) and only works with new battery but battery is flat after a short while
This stairlift control arrived safely and on testing was sending a signal on both button presses.
The item was opened to check for any shorts that could cause battery drain and on testing the switch conductivity they were both reading high in resistance. The switches were cleaned up and the remote tested for power draw, no power was drawn until the buttons were pressed as per normal functionality.
