Customer's Fault Description
Remote will not work. Press the buttons on the remove, the light comes on but the fire will not light at all. The gas valve on the fire doesn't appear to be receiving a signal. Have to light manually. Not sure if the fault is with the sender or the receiver.
This Valor Airflame remote and receiver arrived safely and on inspection the battery compartment in the receiver had signs of a leakage.
On powering up the remote was sending a signal but the receiver was not receiving it. This was due to the battery compartment leak choking the power feed.
A replacement battery block was fitted which restored full functionality.
