Control screen blank and all buttons unresponsive. Replaced batteries but still not working.

 

This window controller arrived safely and on inspection was confirmed dead.  The batteries included had started to leak and liquid was dripping from one of the batteries.  These were disposed of.

Wehn using new batteries the remote remained dead, this was found to be due to a usual component break whereby a capacitor detached from the PCB.  This was replaced and full functionality was restored.
