Item put into storage with batteries still in. The batteries have leaked and remote no longer works

 

This Circulation booster remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed not to be responding on any button press.

The battery terminals did have signs of corrosion, on terminal was replaced and the other was replated.  The issue still remained, the fault was found to be due to a faulty oscillator.  A replacement was fitted which restored full functionality.
