Even with new batteries is dead.

 

This Velux control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.  The back had a couple of cracks on the corners.

On opening there was a component missing on the main board (this is a common issue usually caused when the item is dropped)

The component was replaced as well as the back cover.  Full functionality was restored.
