Glow Worm Climapro2 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Device stopped working following the handset being dropped. New batteries won't power up up the handset. Terminal damage possibly?
This central heating control arrived safely and on inspection batteries were included. When checked 2 of the batteries were inserted the wrong way around. When turned around the remote still remained dead and the 2 wrongly inserted batteries were not a "tight" fit, when rattled temporary power could be found.
The issue was found to be due to a bent battery connector (probably from its dropping), the terminal was bent back out into place which restored a good tight connection to the batteries. This restored full functionality.
