Customer's Fault Description
the remote does not activate the gas fire I have replaced the battery but neither button on being pressed registers any response at the gas fire

 

This control arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting as per normal operation on both buttons.  The item was opened to check for a intermittent issue but again no problem could be found.

Therefore the issue may be with the receiver instead.
