standby button seems to be not working unable to turn base unit on , have changed battery still not working

 

This Canton control arrived safely and on inspection one of the battery terminals was bent over which was effectively shorting the power making the item non responsive.

The battery terminal was bent back into the correct position which restored full functionality.  A new battery has been provided.
