New batteries fit, but not lighting up, therefore won't open the garage door

 

This garage door control arrived safely and on inspection was found to be suffering from the usual battery housing disconnection whereby the housing to the battery had become unsoldered in 2 places.  The housing was re-soldered back firmly into position which restored full functionality.
