Customer's Fault Description
The green ON/OFF button does not work. The other buttons do work.

 

This Sony System Audio RM-SC51 remote arrived safely and on testing the green button was confirmed not to be responding.

This was due to the contact pads being worn.  Replacement conductive caps were glued onto the problematic button which restored full functionality.
