Mertik Maxitrol G30-ZRRSB Remote Repair Details
This receiver arrived safely (the package was not sealed thoroughly and was partly open, luckily the receiver was still present)
On inspection the battery terminals did have signs of a leakage / corrosion. On adding a power source and when tested with out test remote the receiver was found to be working on both channels as per normal operation. It has therefore been concluded that the issue is with the remote control itself and not the receiver. The customer is requested to ship the remote to us using this same reference number RF 4982 5847 for repair.
Update- The remotes arrived safely and on testing one was not transmitting on either up or down. This was due to a faulty transducer, this was replaced which restored full functionality to the first controller.
The second controller was found to be intermittent, when opened the issue was due to a large mass of corrosion over one of the ICs pins (see image), this was cleaned up and the print reworked which restored full functionality.
