Mertik Maxitrol G30-ZRRS Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Mertik Maxitrol

Model : G30-ZRRS

Customers Fault Description : Receiver not registering Down Command and not closing gas valve. Receiver works ok for Up Command. Both buttons illuminate LED on remote. Signs of battery corrosion on receiver battery terminals.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This remote and receiver arrived safely and on inspection the receiver battery block had signs of a battery leakage, most of the terminals were showing signs of corrosion.

On testing the remote was found to be transmitting but the receiver was not responding on either the up or the down channel.

The receiver was opened and sadly the battery leak / corrosion had spread to many parts of the PCB causing corrosion in the print and some components.

Due to the amount of damage a replacement would be the better option as a repair is not viable.
