Even after putting new/tested batteries into remote AND inside fire, struggling to light the fire. Hoping it's only a case of the ignition buttons on remote that are at fault.

This fireplace control arrived safely and on testing was found to have faulty buttons.  All four buttons were replaced which restored normal functionality.
