Screen comes on and shows date/time settings but none of the buttons work - including the power button, so the batteries must be removed to turn it off
Remote Fixer Repair Response

 

This Electric heater controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed not to respond from the OK button press which made the control stuck on the date / time setup.

This was due to a contaminated / worn button contact.  This was cleaned up which restored full functionality.
