Customers Fault Description : The down button is working. when pressed the led on the handset lights and the led on the receiver lights and the motor which activates the gas valve moves in a direction to reduce the flam of the fire. That is as it should be. The other two buttons on the remote appear to do nothing. When pressed the led on both the handset and receiver do not light and the motor which moves the gas valve control does not move.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This fireplace controller arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting as normal on both the up and down channels.
The control was opened to test for intermittent issues but sadly no problem could be replicated. It was therefore concluded that the issue was with the receiver.
