Customer's Fault Description
Initially the remote would work however the screen did not, now the control doesn’t work at all.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This electric fire controller arrived safely and on inspection was dead.
On opening 2 batteries were found to be included, these were dead and sadly one had started to leak within the remote. Luckily the leakage was not too destructive and was cleaned up using alcohol. One a replacement set of batteries was inserted full functionality was restored.
With any remote it is always advised to only use quality batteries as the cheaper low grade batteries do have a tendency to leak which can be catastrophic in some cases.
