Customers Fault Description : Remote control no longer works despite battery changes ?caused by battery leak. No on screen display of any kind

This Velux remote control arrived safely and on inspection the battery terminal was badly corroded (see image).
This was causing the handset to be dead. The terminal was replaced which restored full functionality.
