Customer's Fault Description
Remote completely does not work.
Steps already taken: wire from the battery terminal to circuit board removed as it was nearly coming off and it was replaced by a wire that is not from the remote originally. Did not fix the fault. the original blue wire on the battery terminal is in the battery compartment (it is too small to refit). No other attempted fixes on the circuit board. Back was already missing a single screw.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed dead.
On opening the negative battery terminal wire was detached. This was soldered back into place but the control still remained dead.
The other terminals had signs of corrosion spots on them causing high resistance to the power. The terminals were re-plated which restored full functionality.
