This Onkyo AV Receiver / AMP remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed dead.
On opening the issue was found to be a large amount of sticky contamination over most of the PCB and button array. The remote was given an alcohol bath and cleaned of all contaminants which restored full functionality.
