BOSE RC-9 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : The remote RC-9 is proving difficult to use and the buttons do not respond without tapping the remote

This Bose control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be intermittent.
On opening 2 issues were found, the first main issue was that the RF coil had a cracked solder joint, this was resoldered which restored stable functionality.
The was also a large amount of sticky liquid contamination over much of the button array, this was cleaned up.
