Dropped remote. Remote still lights but sensor doesnt respond

This fireplace control and receiver arrived safely and on testing the remote itself was found not to be transmitting on either channel.
This was due to a faulty transducer in the handset itself, this was replaced and full functionality was restored.
No fault could be found with the receiver itself.
