Customer's Fault Description
Remote just doesn't come on - no power - have tried new batteries
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This electric fire remote arrived safely and on inspection the facia was not stuck to the PCB (the backing was not even peeled off from its factory construction).
On adding a power source the remote was found to be dead.
On opening there were a few spots of corrosion / contamination (see image), this was sadly found to be through to the double sided print, one side of which is inaccessible due to the PCBs construction.
due to this a repair is sadly not possible.
