Customer's Fault Description
The receiver in the fire is not registering the 'up' command from the remote control and is not opening the gas valve as required. Both buttons register as operational on remote, they both illuminate the LED on the remote. The receiver illuminates with the 'down' command from the remote but not with the 'up' command.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing was found that the receiver was not responding from the remotes up channel.
This was due to a faulty 40.5khz crystal in the receiver itself, this was replaced and full functionality was restored.
No fault was found with the remote.
