Customers Fault Description : Have changed the battery and still the red light does not light up

This fireplace controller arrived safely and on inspection the remote was disassembled and missing its mounting screw.
On adding a power source the item remained dead. This was found to be due to a faulty crystal, this was replaced which restored full functionality.
