Customer's Fault Description
fell down on the floor and stopped its further functioning. On/ Off button remains dead. Replacing batteries did not help.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This fireplace control arrived safely and on inspection the case had signs of an attempted opening (see image). The remote had something loose inside.
The control was opened and sadly the damage caused by the customers attempted opening was too severe. Print was damage, the ribbon cable to the screen was cut through and some components were shattered. This is all remnant of someone trying to pry the item open using a screwdriver or knife.
This has deemed this item as beyond repair.
