Suddenly stopped working. Looked at IR LED - appear to be working but very dimly. It worked a couple of times after being left but just tried it again after couple of weeks without batteries and no good. The LCD display works well, but this is a two-way and should receive info regarding sound fields and tuner presets from the receiver
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Sony STR-DB9 receiver controller arrived safely and on inspection was found to have a badly corroded battery terminal, this was replaced but the signal was still erratic.

Tracing back from the IR Led a couple of tiny corrosion points in the print were noticed (see image), this was cleaned up and the print reworked which restored full functionality.
