Customers Fault Description : Only works if the sender and receiver are millimetres away from each other.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This fireplace controller arrived safely with its receiver and on testing the remote was low on signal strength. This was due to a faulty transducer in the handset itself. This was replaced with a new transducer which restored full functionality.
No problem was found with the receiver.
