Denon RC-884 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Battery terminals corroded in my original RC, So purchased from ebay another with no infra red? All i needed was the contacts. I have assembled them so that the bbattery case part showing rust is on the ebay IR board.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
These Denon amplifier controllers arrived safely and on testing one wase dead and the other was not transmitting a signal. On opening one there was a large amount of battery leakage corrosion over both side of the print. This has deemed this control beyond repair.
The other control was found to be not transmitting due to a dead IR led. A replacement LED was fitted which restored full functionality.
