Customer's Fault Description
I am sending two remotes for repair - both are of the same model as outlined above.In one, the black wire inside in the battery compartment has become detached; I'm not sure what's wrong with the other, but it's not working.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
These two fireplace controls arrived safely from Ireland and on testing one was found to have a PCB mounting pin broken meaning the buttons would not actuate. Once the PCB was mounted properly it was found that the Ultrasonic transducer was faulty meaning no signal was being emitted.
The Transducer was replaced which restored full functionality.
The second remote was confirmed to have a broken battery cable, a replacement cable was fitted which restored full functionality.
