We have put new batteries in remote control but still not turning fire off/on

This fireplace controller arrived safely and on inspection the battery cover was broken and when tested the remote was confirmed dead.

On opening the PCB was being held in with BluTac.  This was removed and then the fault reason was found.  The print around the LED was broken causing open circuits.  The print was reworked which restored full functionality.
