Customers Fault Description : Nothing works even with new battery inserted!

This docking station control arrived safely and on adding a battery was found to be transmitting without a button press.
When opened this was found to be due to the power button having decomposed and the conductive remnants were shorting the contacts of the print.
The print was cleaned up and a replacement button cap fitted under the original facia, this restored full normal functionality.
