Sony RM-SSD1 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Power button fault
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Sony control arrived safely and on inspection the case had signs of brittle damage due to its age and decomposition (see images), this doesn't effect functionality.
On testing was found to have a non responsive volume up button, this power button seemed to be ok.
The issue was due to worn button conductive button pads, replacement conductive caps were fitted on the power and volume button which restored full functionality.
