Customer's Fault Description
Remote does not work at all since batteries replaced. Previous batteries were flat and slightly corroded, so I suspect that the corrosion might have caused the problem.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Amplifier control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed dead.
On opening htere was corrosion over the battery terminals (see image), this was cleaned up but did not clear the issue.
The problem was found to be due to a faulty IR led, a replacement was fitted which restored full functionality.
Due to the battery leakage please remember to fit new batteries upon its return.
