Customers Fault Description : Unit has died. Replaced batteries with correct polarity. Still not powering up.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Gloworm controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed dead.
On opening there was a mass of contamination over part of the PCB (see image).
This was cleaned up and a couple of joints were resoldered, this restored full functionality.
