Customer's Fault Description
Remote not working, IR light not illuminating, changed battery (CR2025 3V) but no change. Possible baby dropped it etc but no eternal visible damage.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This amplifier controller arrived safely and on inspection the facia was found to have cracks around the buttons.
On testing the remote would work when tapped leading to the conclusion that there was a poor joint inside.
Once opened the oscillator was found to have a poor solder joint on one of its legs, this was re-soldered which restored normal functionality.
