The screen is blank even with brand new batteries in there’s nothing there
Remote Fixer Repair Response

These two velux remotes arrived safely and on testing both were dead.

On opening both had the same fault whereby a small capacitor detaches from the board completely.

The capacitor was replaced in each remote but this only restored functionality to one of the controls.  One of them remains dead and after an extensive side by side component test it was concluded that the issue was most likely with the main IC which isnt available as a spare.
