Customers Fault Description : Power button won’t turn the tv off

This TV control arrived safely and on inspection the battery cover was found not to be the correct one for this handset (it is larger) unfortunately a replacement battery cover is not available as a spare.
On testing a few buttons were found to be sluggish / non responsive. When the facia was peeled back a mass of corrosion was found over much of the button array (see image). This was caused by water contamination.
The print was cleaned up and reworked which restored full functionality to all buttons. Interestingly, when testing this control the power button was found to turn off the main TV in the workshop which is a Panasonic.
