This boiler controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have a blank screen.

On opening the screens ribbon cable was found to have a dent in it (most likely from someone accidentally spiking it when the terminals were repaired.

The dent was removed and the cable re-seated properly in its socket.  This restored full functionality.
