Yamaha BDP 121 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Not working.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Yamaha remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed dead.
On removing the included batteries it was found that one of the terminals had surface rust from a battery leakage.
The item was opened and the leak was also found on part of the PCB, this was all cleaned up and the terminals was etched clean and then recoated with conductive paint, this restored full functionality.
It is recommended not to use cheap batteries in any item that is required to be used as the cheap batteries are notorious for leaking and causing cataclysmic damage to items.
