This boiler controller arrived safely and upon arrival the customer contacted us with an emergency situation whereby the heating was permanently on with no means of turning it off without the remote.
Due to this it was put on the bench same day and was confirmed not to have any characters on the display.
On opening there was a mass of corrosion under the display on the main PCB (see image). This had eaten through parts of the print causing a few open circuits. The print was reworked which restored full functionality.
