This Glowworm remote arrived safely and on inspection the sides have marks on the seam remnant of an attempted opening (see images).  One of the battery terminals had signs of corrosion from a battery leakage and also another terminal was bent out back making the batteries not a solid connection.

The corroded terminal was replaced and the bent terminal reseated but the dead issue remained.  The regulator was found to have blown, this was replaced and full functionality was restored.  The screen has poor contrast (some lines on the screen, see testing video) this does not effect functionality and screens are not available as spares.
