Customer's Fault Description
The receiver in the fire is not registering the 'up' command from the remote control and is not opening the gas valve as required. Both buttons register as operational on remote, they both illuminate the LED on the remote. The receiver illuminates with the 'down' command from the remote but not with the 'up' command
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This fireplace remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have a non responsive channel.  This was found to be due to faulty crystals in the receiver.  These were replaced which restored full functionality.

Please note that the batteries in the receiver were disposed of due to one showing signs of a leak.
