Customers Fault Description : When replace the battery mix the polarity

This golf trolley controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed dead. A visual inspection revealed that a IC was blown (see images), sadly the identification of this IC is non readable.
Eventually a replacement IC was sourced and fitted.
