Even with batteries in nothing seems to be working, no display etc

This Velux controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed dead.

This was due to a faulty regulator, this was replaced but then another fault was found.  When the item has its batteries inserted the screen would come on with "Wrong Teststate".  This is a problem that can be easily bypassed by simply holding one of the buttons when inserting the batteries (please see the testing video for a demonstration)

The customer will be required to set up the remote with its receiver on return.
