Bose RC38T1-40 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : On the remote, none of the buttons work. After two days of not working, it started working again, with all buttons working OK. The next day it stopped working again, and has not worked since. This was last week.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Bose controller arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting on all buttons except one (the CD# at the bottom of the controller)

As the fault description was that the control was intermittent it was tested over a period of 4 days.  This revealed no further issue other than the one faulty button.

This has classed this item as no fault found, if the CD# button is to be repaired i can have another look but as this differs from the designated fault it has been left to the customers decision.

Update : after talking with the customer it was decided to repair the CD# faulty button problem, this was done, it transpired that there was a small amount of corrosion on the print trace that was effecting this button.  This was reworked which restored functionality.
