Sony RM-SR5B Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Doesn't switch the system on. Previous battery has leaked so assume this is causing the fault. Missing battery cover.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Sony controller arrived safely and on inspection the battery cover was missing (i have had a look for a replacement but sadly we do not have an as these are not available as spares)

On testing the remote was found to be dead.  On opening there was a large amount of battery leak corrosion, this had eaten through parts of the print, the print was reworked which restored full functionality.  The oscillator was also replaced.
