Customer's Fault Description
The remote is used to turn up and turn down the flame on a gas wall fire. Turning up the fire works okay. Turning down does not seem to work (the red light on the remote lights up but the light on the receiving unit does not light up and the flame does not adjust).
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This fireplace controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have a faulty channel.
This was due to a faulty 40khz crystal, this was replaced which restored full functionality.
